RTE’s Nationwide visits Waterford’s Repair and Leasing Initiative

RTE1’s popular Nationwide programme visited Waterford on 9th August, 2018 and viewed properties currently being leased by the Council under the Repair and Leasing Initiative.

The Repair and Lease Scheme is one of a number of initiatives to address vacant properties in Waterford.  The basis of the scheme is that repair and improvement works to suitable vacant properties are funded to bring them up to the standard for rented accommodation and the cost of the works is then deducted from lease payments over an agreed lease term.

Property Owners interested in the scheme should contact Waterford City and County Council directly and register their interest via:

Left to right, Owen Cox, property owner, Margaret Phelan, WCCC, Helen McInerney, RTE and Sinead Breathnach, WCCC
