World Mental Health Day takes place on Sunday, 10th October and it affords us the opportunity to focus on achieving good mental health and reminds us to be aware and supportive to those around us who may be struggling.
One can never underestimate the power of nature when you are feeling ‘out’ with the world around you. Walking in the woods or along your favourite stretch of sandy beach or rocky shore has the amazing ability to renew your view of the simple wonders of our world. It reminds us of the simple beauty that surrounds us as we take notice of the leaves moving in the breeze, the sound of the water or the crunch of our footstep on the earth below.
Look for the beauty in nature and the positives in your life, sometimes we may need to search a little harder and that’s ok, the important thing is that we keep looking, keep searching and keep going, knowing all the time that we are not alone.
