Waterford City & County Council invites Artists and Arts Organisations to apply online for 2023 Arts Practice Grants. There is a total budget of €90,000 to cover all successful applicants.
This is a fully online system that has been streamlined into three categories:
· Professional/Amateur Organisations and individuals
· Rural Arts Networking
· Playwright & Producer / Screenwriter & Producer
There is a transparent detailed marking system which allows clients to understand how their application will be judged. This year the use of ‘Links’ will be the only way of uploading detail such as Photographs, Digital Media, Child Protection Statements, Accounts etc.
Some of the categories have specific funding attached to them e.g. Playwright & Producer/Screenwriter & Producer and/or the various Theatre performance grants. Others are based on a partnership approach. The maximum Grant this year will be for €7,500 but this is mainly for Professional Arts Organisations or Professional collaborations between stated professional artists and/or professional arts organisations.
Individuals applying for grants are required to be registered members of Artlinks. Registration is free of charge. Please contact artlinks.ie@gmail.com to request a registration form, note that registration requests received after 28th September may not be processed in time for the Arts Grants deadline.
The applications will be adjudicated by an Independent board.
The Arts Grants applications are online until Noon on October 3rd 2022. Decisions will be published in late December 2022 on the basis of being passed by Waterford City & County Council.
